Hi! I'm Dani
Welcome! I’m so glad you’ve found your way here. I know the weight of living with pain, and I know how easy it is to feel lost. That’s why I created this space: a compass to help you find direction, strength, and hope again.
All About Me

I am a Registered Nurse with more than a decade of experience and a National Board Certified Health and Wellness Coach with over two years of coaching practice. Beyond my professional roles, I am also someone who lives with chronic pain.
For years, I carried my pain quietly while working full time in the operating room, caring for others while pushing through my own symptoms. Then, in my 30s, my life changed overnight. I was hospitalized with bilateral bacterial pneumonia, became septic, and nearly lost my life. Although I survived, my body was never the same. My chronic pain intensified, my resilience was tested, and my health felt completely out of my control.
When conventional treatments, medications, and quick fixes failed to bring lasting relief, I decided to take an active role in my healing. I became my own test subject, studying, experimenting, and searching for answers to understand what was truly happening in my body.
What I discovered was transformative. Chronic pain is not just a physical issue. It is deeply influenced by the brain, the nervous system, and how we respond to stress, fear, and life experiences. The good news is that the brain can change. Through neuroplasticity, we can retrain the nervous system, reduce sensitivity, and turn down the volume on pain.
Around this time, I rescued my dog, Jack. I thought I was saving him, but in many ways, he has been saving me. His unexpected health challenges mirrored my own and forced me to slow down, practice patience, and trust the process of healing, even when progress felt uncertain. Caring for him while navigating my own pain taught me to celebrate small wins, soften during setbacks, and recognize that healing is not about returning to who we were before. It is about finding strength, presence, and purpose in who we are becoming.
Today, I integrate my medical background, personal experience, and evidence based, neuroplasticity informed strategies to guide others toward healing. I understand what it feels like to be dismissed, exhausted by flare ups, and desperate for answers.
That understanding is why I created The Body’s Pain Compass, LLC, to help you find direction, break free from the pain loop, and move toward lasting relief.
